Orlando Montessori Bilingual Academy

Primary Program

An academic program for students 3 to 5 years old.

This program is offered at all our locations.

In a 3-5 year old Montessori classroom, you will find various areas designed to support the holistic development of the child. These areas include practical life, sensorial, language, mathematics, culture, and art.

Practical Life

This area includes activities such as pouring, spooning, and buttoning, which help children develop fine motor skills, concentration, independence, and a sense of order. The purpose is to help children learn to care for themselves and their environment.

Sensorial Area

In this area, children explore materials that help them refine their senses of sight, touch, sound, taste, and smell. Activities like the color tablets, the pink tower, and sound cylinders are intended to enhance sensory perception and discrimination.

Language Area

This area is focused on developing children's oral language skills, vocabulary, writing, and reading abilities. Materials like the sandpaper letters, moveable alphabet, and language objects support children in learning sounds and letters.

Mathematics Area

In the mathematics area, children work with materials like the number rods, counters, and sandpaper numbers to explore concepts of quantity, numeration, addition, subtraction, and more. The purpose is to help children develop a solid foundation in mathematical concepts through hands-on activities.

Culture Area

This area introduces children to the concepts of geography, history, science, and the arts. Children explore the world through maps, puzzles, artifacts, and other materials to develop an understanding and appreciation of different cultures and traditions.

Art Area

The art area allows children to engage in creative expression through activities like painting, drawing, cutting, and collage. Children are encouraged to explore different art mediums and techniques to foster creativity, self-expression, and fine motor skills.

Overall, the purpose of these different areas in the Montessori classroom is to provide a prepared environment where children can actively engage in purposeful activities that promote independence, self-direction, concentration, and a love of learning.

Parent Reviews

I am so grateful that OMBA is here in Orlando. The teachers are not only caring and loving to my three year old son, he is truly receiving a global education. He speaks and understands Spanish and interacts with classmates from all backgrounds. Montessori is a solid foundation that also encourages my son to become self motivated. I love OMBA!!

We are from Chicago, Illinois and I'm only here for the summer attending a conference. My daughter is enrolled at an amazing Spanish school in Chicago named Rayito de Sol..even tho I'm only in Orlando for a month, I didn't want my child to lose the Spanish language. So, I found out about OMBA and enrolled her for summer school. My child is 5 and is fairly easygoing, very energetic but happy. She seems very happy at the school and the staff seem to value education,Spanish language and children. As long as my child is happy then I am happy. Thank you.
